taking the stock bose stereo out

alright so i bought a new head unit the other day and today i took the outside molding off around the cassete player and cd player...after that i couldnt seem to disconnect the wiring in the back...it should be simple right? cause i know theres a big white clip back there and i cant seem to get disconnected...give me some advice on taking this thing out i dont feel like paying 50$ to have it installed...and then i may need some advice putting the new one in

did you take the HU itself out?

nope because the HU and the cassete are hooked together in the back so i cant take one out at a time...the whole thing has to come out...very confused

its pretty simple but sometimes you gotta use a little force using your fingers.
there's like a little button you kinda press, you hold it down and push the wiring thing out

there are 2 screws under the units that mount them to the dash support... take them out so the radio comes out of the dash, you'll then be able to reach the power/speaker harness in the back. The "tab" you need to push in is right on the top of the connector and centered, just push it down and it will come right out of the radio. Use a small mirror and flashlight if you need to see what you're doing.

there really far away. what can you use to get them out. cuz im upgrading my radio to a new alpine soon.

i payed the 50 buckes
its pretty easy i wish i didnt go to circut city and get the smart wire set up and the kit
the installation takes 15 min
i was like wow if i knew i would of did it my self
you need 2 wire set ups and the deck kit to fill the space
