Question Switching intake manifold & TB

Hey guys haven't posted in a LONGG time but have a quick question for someone.

I am thinking about getting a cl-s intake manifold and throttle body and was wondering what all will be needed to do to make it work or is it a direct bolt-on? I'm sure someone has done this and if they have any tips or directions for me to follow that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

you can get the manifold, it should fit just perfect however the TB you will have some idling issues and the ECU will not like it and throw you a code

i friend that i knew on here named monkey, hasnet been on in over a year i think he had it and we put it on his car on day and it threw up a code on his dash and then idles WAY too high

Your main concern will be the fact the the CLS throttle bodies do not have a port for the egr hose that connects to our throttle body. You will have to find a way around that.

It is a direct bolt on, and I'm assuming your talking about the upper manifold. I'm not sure if you would need to replace the lower manifold, but I don't think you would.

Also, you'd need to find a way to get the butterfly valve to work. It plays a big role in the added power in the higher end. You can read about what it does on this thread, post #43.

Post #37 will help give you an idea on how to get it to work.

Seems like you will need the lower manifold afterall in order for it to fit. Also, for what this would cost you, it's been stated it's not worth the money (that is, for the IM and TB alone....using the full J32A2 head with this is another story)

Here are the dyno sheets provided and comments on this swap:

The lower manifold is the injector base assembly with injectors, and gaskets needed for everything else as well.

Do ya'll think that switching both intake manifolds and TB would be worth while or a waste of money and time.
