Switches in center storage - WTF are these?

So I was doing some cleaning and either I just didn't notice them before or forgot about them.

WTF are these switches? They're 2 position toggles I flip them both up and down.

Here is a pic shooting through the hole with the cup holders pulled out.

Hmm I thought the only mods when I bought it was the wing, CAI, and short shifter.... oh discoveries...

How would I go about confirming what the plans were for those switches?

I had a civic that had a toggle switch that turned off the tail lights, which means it was probably used for illegal activities at one time

trace them and figure out where they go, my first thought was fuel line cutoff but there wouldn't be 2. Maybe they used them for neons or lighting?

looks like the wires are already cut so no luck in tracing. I would ask the pre owner. Maybe for neons and a system cut off switch? or like said tail light/brake light shut off switch i've had that before

as in your lights? so that you could literally be unseen at night. even if you turn your lights off, your brake lights still come on when you hit the brakes... so this prevents that

I have no idea... I'm an electronics noob (among other things).

Kill switch for ignition/fuel pump.... why?

Also he wanted them hidden for some reason whatever they were used for as they're under the tray.. he installed them a hair too high because the storage tray won't "click" in all the way.

The first picture, I know it has something to do with the E-brake. When I saw those wires, I was messing around with my E-brake and those wires move. As for the Second picture, no idea.

Yea those are the Ebrake cables... the little switches are what the discussion is about. They're aftermarket additions that were on the car when I bought it.

must be kill switches for ignition and fuel pump. turn it off and your car won't/can't start. that makes it harder for theives as they gotta go find the switch and turn it on.

The possibilities are endless.

Neons for the Interior.
Neons for the Exterior.
System/ Bass Shut Off.
Cut the Tail Lights.
Ignition/ Fuel Pump Shut Off.
Strobes in the Headlights.
Foglights.

Take your pick. Doesnt seem like theres wires there anymore, so you can probably take them out and have two small holes to deal with.

so if you're driving radical and running from the cops the little angel inside of you can softly flip the switches and pull the car over so the cops can then kick your ass
