Which swap would you do?

If you had a choice which one would you go for...

1. 3.0 with 4sp auto - swap tranny for cl-s 6speed and swap j30 bottom with j35

2. 2.2/2.3 with 5sp - swap h22 and boost it

3. 2.2/2.3 with 5sp - boost it

Which one would be the most expensive?

I'm not sure which one I would go for. I'm hoping the gurus can chime in

If I had the money, I would do the most expensive and complex which would be the j32a2 type-s with j35 short block with the 6 speed tranny

4. K24 and 6 speed. Although I really think it depends on which platform you're starting with...

Do what YOU imagine will make YOU the happiest.

Question. Not to sound rude, but is this a day dreaming thread or a thread worth chiming in?

They're all daydream threads until someone posts a pic of an engine sitting in their basement/garage I don't have my block yet, but I'm not starting threads about it either

Take the path of least resistance and boost the 2.x. I did it for just under $1800 and that includes swapping in an f23 with less miles on it.

Since we are day dreaming why not buy 5 cls and do five builds, then find out which one you like the most.

What would be the cost to just boost an f23 5sp? Assuming not much boost and keeping stock internals?

Yes - and since his post included swapping in a new engine, which I don't need to do - it doesn't answer my question.

Comprehend much?

Here is a list of parts I used minus the details along with the prices. This was put together over 6 months so I had time to shop around and find some good deals. All the piping was supplied by a friend so you may need to factor in some extra for that. The engine didnt cost me anything since I bought a wrecked 01 accord for 250 and sold off everything of value and keept the motor (nice $1400 profit, who knew the automatic trans would sell for $600 ). I also got lucky on the manifold as they normally go for close to 200. Found a guy on craigslist that just bought a turboed accord and put it back to stock, he just wanted it gone. Another big thing I had going for me was that there was no labor cost besides food and time. Not sure how much a shop would charge but I bet it wouldnt be cheap.

In all honesty the hardest part was doing the motor swap, once it was in the rest was cake. Hope that answers our question as to how much it cost to boost the f23.

Forgot to mention that the miscellaneous on the list includes stuff like shop towels, gloves, gas, and renting the car dolley. I budgeted for $2100 to be safe.

Parts Paid
Turbo $250.00
Downpipe/exh $100.00
Injectors $50.00
Pipes $0.00
Intercooler $50.00
S200 w/ECU $310.00
Wiring harness $45.00
Manifold $100.00
Waste Gate $50.00
BOV $50.00
Exhaust $150.00
Tune $420.00
Clutch $220.00
Spark Plugs $15.00
Fluids $50.00
Fitting $20.00
Selling Hondata -$150.00
Miscelaneous $100.00
Total $1,830.00

He meant it's been posted several times before in boosted threads that have been made by those that have gone this route. Every project will differ slightly in cost based on the quality of parts and "hook ups" one may have AND for those that are mechanically inclined, can also save in labor. But the above price mentioned seems like a fair estimate. Goodluck with your project.
