Sum pics of my new kickpanels
I just finished building these yesterday. I am already planning to rebuild new ones for cosmetic reasons. The front stage turned out to be pretty good but always can be better. CHeck it out. I think they turned out okay.

They are housing a set of Dynaudio components.

Built yourself huh? Not too shabby at all, especially built yourself. I would probably just have my foot sitting on it the whole time. I'm one of the few people on earth that actually use the footrest that usually goes there.

wow you built it yourself how did you do that fiberglass mold? looks really nice. Yeah my foot goes there but if the grills are industrial shouldn't be a problem at all except getting dirt into the speakers.
Great job really original.

Thanks for the comments guys. Well I'm pretty careful with kickpanels now. I've went through two sets before this one. To ju5tchi11in, I made the mold by first taping up the floor area where I wanted the kicks to be, then laid fibermat on it and then glassing it. After it was dry, I just trimmed it up to how I thought I wanted it to look. The rest is just wrapping it with fleece and getting it ready for the vinyl.
I'm planning on working on the trunk as soon as I get my subs in. I think a lot of people here are more into performance and wouldn't want to add all that extra weight of a system, but I'm more into sound and looks than performance.. for now at least. Hopefully I can get a garage at my apartment. THe snow is about to come and fiberglass isn't the best to work with when it's cold. Oh by the way, is there anybody here from the midwest? I'm living here in Omaha, NE now.

2-clean, thanks. I did everything myself. Only the kicks someone did for me. It took awhile since i kept changing my setup but now i think i'm done.
EPS: Those are chrome gauge rings. I picked it up from his guy from canada. They're for an accord but they fit on our cars. Give's it a nice touch

All you need is that stock metal mounting brackets, and that piece of metal that came with the aftermarket HU (that piece of metal with the holes in it). Then you just cut two small pieces out, and screw them on both sides of the HU, and the stock compartment under it. Then get another piece to mount it on the back of the HU, and that stock mounting bracket. After that you just try to fit everything back in. You just have to play around with it, to make it fit right (by bending that peice of metal with the holes).
