I have a 1997 3.0CL and need to replace my tires soon. Was wondering if I could go a little wider with 225/50R16? Will it rub on anything? I plan on getting an eibach pro-kit drop soon, will that cause any forseeable problems?

i would like to get 225s instead od 215/45s when i get my 17"s im pretty sure that it would fit fine without a drop though cuz the tire place said so, but ill ask diff places.

I wouldn't put 225's on the stock 16x6" wheels. IMO, 205's is already pushing it for that width of wheel.
