Stock Michelins?

I have 64,000 miles on my stock rear Michelins. I drive about 70 miles a day.

They still have plenty of tread left but are showing signs of cracking not on the sidewall but in between where the tread meets the tire. They are approx. 4.5 years old.

Is this normal? I want to replace them w. the same tires but I am not sure of the durability of the Michelins.

I have already replaced the front tires w. Yokohamas but I am not too crazy about them.

If you replaced the fronts already that would suggest that you are not rotating your tires. This is a must for FWD cars! I say buy a match to the Yokahamas on the front and rotate em'

Best thing to do is have a tire expert look at them. Dont go to someplace like sears though, because they are always going to say you need new tires. As for the tread rating, its relative to driving style and conditions. Just keep in mind your tires are all that is between you and the pavement, so even if there is tread it might be worth replacing them. The stock michelins are very expensive. Id look at some of the existing tire review threads and try something else.
