I have the stock alarm on my car and am wondering if it does anything. i live in a nice area but want to make sure everything is safe and sound.....any thoughts?

 

The stock alarm? I dont think it is actually an alarm unless you have something else that came stock. It's actually just a remote lock/unlock. There are no shock sensors so the only way of setting the alarm off is by opening the door while the alarm is on. Meaning they can hit anything and it won't go off...just when they open the door or something. You can add a shock sensor to the stock alarm, but I don't have the wiring scheme.
