you would be better off getting a viper or clifford car alarm. the stock alarm doesn't do jack diddly and even with addons its not worth a damn.

How much do after market alarms cost? I know that there is a bunch out there but I'm thinking about getting a Viper or maybe even a Clifford. I had a Viper alarm on my old car and it had door sensors, hood & trunk sensors, glass sensor, and a motion sensor. How much do these run for? Another question is how much does installation run for these?

Price depends on what you want. An alarm that will prove good protection for your car will run about $500 or $600. Mine is top of the line clifford and it was $800+ install.

It maybe a lot but my car isn't going anywhere without me in it. If someone tries to brake in I will hear it and beat their ass!!
