i just bought a new radiator and new cap. but there's still a little steam coming out the cap. im goin g to get a new thermostat does it matter what temp i get it ?im gettin a oem 160 degree therm ffrom TASAUTO.

That should be fine, but the thermo wouldn't necessarily cause it to steam.
You say it is a new radiator and cap, or just the cap. It could be that you have a pin hole, or a tiny hairline crack in the spout or the releif tube that runs to the resivour. Check those out as well.

new rad, new cap ill check the spout or relief tube for pin holes or cracks. any other suggestions. could it be pin hole in radiator hoses. i don t see any leaks.

Its very possible that your thermostat is screwed and its causing resistriction to the flow. Pressure might be building up and its coming out as steam thru the cap. The access coolant/steam is supposed to drain into the reservoir.

steam wouldnt come out of the cap it would go to the overflow bottle.. its called boil over. did you replace the hoses yet? if you didnt they could be streatched from reinstalling them on a new radiator and leaking. i highly doubt its the thermostat.. but like someone else said its cheap. i would replace the hoses while your draining your system anyways.
