Steering Wheel Peeling

i have a problem i need to get sorted out. the material on my steering wheel is starting to peel really bad. the shit gets all over my hands and is a real pain in the ass. what can i do to stop this problem. im gonna try and take every measure possible to not have to resort to buying a steering wheel cover. can someone help me please????

i have the same problem, i think itz from buildup plus the leather that builds up when u turn and make friction with the wheel. i stopped using armorall and juss used water and let it dry in the sun and it stopped for a while.

mine is slowly starting to do that as well...
if you have 98/99 with the newer steering wheels you can change it to MDX or Newer CL preforated leather...

can we get aftermarkt wheel's for our cars that fit properly ? Im interested in some nice momo wheels they have but im not sure on fitment ( 94-97 accord/2.2 cl )

Mine is doing that at the top. Oh well, I guess it is just a thing. I figure I will either replace the wheel or get a leather wrap. Like a nice wrap though, not Wal-Mart.

it was doing it real bad when it was humid out, but now it stopped.

i dont recomend putting water on leather ( well i call it jap wrap) it will just dry it out but i have seen our air bag alone selling on ebay for anywhere from 200 to 350$$ so just do that and get a new one! oh ya dont get a stiring wheel cover they are dumb

mine does it also thats why i got the new wheel sparco and plus did you know we can get 725 for our 2 front air bags haha

I got a cover, and haven't had a problem since. Did have the same problem on my wheel though too.
