Is it possible to control an aftermarket stereo from the steering wheel buttons?

 

yes it is....i believe PAC makes an adapter for it.

There are a couple different companies that make adapters... I saw one the other day at my shop that plugged into all ford and honda steering wheel controls and you program it from the wireless remote that came with the aftermarket deck, it seems pretty slick, but I think it has to be mounted somewhere in front of the face plate. But there are other ones available that are not visible, they plug into the controls, but I believe they only work with sony heads with the wired remote option. What I really want to know is... can we get the controls in the '97?? Acura seems to have left us lonely '97 owners out with a lot of things... the painted side skirts... the wood dash... the steering wheel audio controls... this sucks... i shoulda bought a 98 or a 99... oh well, cant change it now... lol. Ok, i know I ask too many questions, but does anyone out there have either a 98 or 99 CL, that they are parting out, as in a wrecked car... I want the steering wheel with the audio controls and the center console... as long as they are dark grey. A straight up trade would be nice if possible, my steering wheel is brand new cause the leather on the other one was wearing off and they replaced it under warranty.
