Stainless Exhaust System

Hey everyone I am new to the cl community, but I work at a place called Stainless Works you can check it online at www.stainlessworks.net I am in ohio and getting a new exhaust bent this week for hot import nights here in Cleveland Ohio. Full exhaust will be in 304 stainless steel and come with a nice deep growl and 4 inch (mustang cobra type) round polished outlet. We have machinery for copying bends directly and it will also go up to 2.5" tubing all the way through. I don't know what we will sell these systems for , but if we can get enough people in on this I'm sure I can get a huge discount for my CL family. Also if there is anyone in Ohio with other Imports that would like a full exhaust system let me know. We can make it here and we need new import patterns. Right now we do a lot for Summit and JEGS but I have told the Owner that IMPORTS are the future. He is ready to work with me.

What Price would get you guys to go for this and would you like it available with and without cat. This way it could come with a cat replacement pipe so you could interchange it for street or track.

cat back is fine for me...under $450 or so for me...with a nice can and tips...any more than that and you could get one bent up and get a magnaflow muffler at a local muffler shop

I'm sure we will be able to do a cat back for under $450. You can decide how you want the muffler core perfed for deepness of sound. We make all stainless mufflers with stainless wrap inside. Guaranteed for life. Magnaflow is one of our competitors, but if you get on summits website you can see they sell our mufflers some examples are the SUM-630622 which is a polished smooth tube muffler. Also, the SUM-630730 which is a chambered muffler. We can make many size mufflers 4x8, 5x9, a 5" round , 4" round are just a few examples.

Those dont look like mufflers they look like resonators. What do your mufflers look like?

I am figuring out how this site is quickly. Shoulda just let everyone know about the system after I got it. I am 31 years old and no I don't want a rice coffee can. Anyhow if you don't like sorry I will post no more til I get my exhaust on with pics and pics of my car with new custom laser cut grille. Sorry to all I offended thinking I was just trying to advertise. I was actually tryin to look out for everyone here trying to get them a stainless exhaust at a good price. No money in my pocket outta this at all.

one it's installed share pics... then I'm sure many of us would like to talk. My first quote for catback was $404 (2.5" piping res, and magnaflow muffler), my second was $250 (2.5" piping and I supply my own muffler)... if this is for a good price adn well done then i'd be interested, but with all the offers like this that have fallen through you'd definitely have a larger user interest AFTER you got it installed with pics. Hope youa re one of the few that are serious about this.

When you post the pictures I might be interested also and I appreciate you tyying to look out for everyone. Whether they think you are advertising or not I did not see the harm in you letting people know whats out there sounds like a good opportunity.

True, that would be a big help to us. Headers made espically for the 3.0cl, made out of t304 stainless, with quality tig welded joints.

headers is the next thing on our list. I am pumping the owner with all of the imput here online. I told him IMPORTS are the future and the classics are just what they are CLASSIC. he is really ready to work with me now. My G.M. is suggesting a retail cost of $450 to start he wants me to do a lil searchin on line to compare prices. This is all mandrel bent 304 Stainless Steel Stainless Flanges cut on our laser. (grill inserts comin soon) Mufflers are tig welded and if you give me a magnaflow exhaust # or link to a muffler we can make one just like it as loud or quiet as you want it.

I see Baka knows about the niceness of the tig welds. Right now they do alot of vette and camaro headers and we now are also doing the 04 GTO and the H2 so they can do it if anyone can. I am going to have to give my car up for a few days for them to prototype, but I will do it for my 3.0 family and of course the free headers for using my car as a prototype.

That be awsome man, as a welder myself, i'm pretty peticiular with my welds, and i found that in any manifold making, tig welding is the way to go, the welds are nicer, and the joints are less subject to leakage.

Comptech made them, but no longer for the 3.0. Those fit the best, and provided the most gains.

My G.M. told me if I can get some catback sold then he will immediately start on the headers. If I could get a group buy of at least 5 systems @ $425 that would be great. I will post side pics of exhaust tonight and try to get installed pic for you also. Let me know if anyone is interested in this catback.

You get those installed pics yet? Try the new muffler? .... I was checking out my exhaust today. What the hell are all those resinator things? Do we need them? I know we need the cat converter and the O2 sensor.....but does it mess anything up to remove those other things?

how do i get a sound clip on here and what is a good way to record one? I know I should get one inside the car and one outside of the car. Lifts weren't open on Friday, but the lift will be open on monday so I will get the installed pics for you. If you check our website they have a clip of the GTO @ www.stainlessworks.net I will try to get a clip like that.

Any plans for the 2.3, or the 2.3 have the same cat back part. Some fuker hit my tail pipe when it was parked and it all kinda out of shape and nasty. The local mechanic said the pipe from the header to the exhaust is bent in couple places. It doesn't look bad but you can see it, also snapped two mounts (it shakes a lot). I know the mechanic wasn't try to screw me because he said it not worth fixing because it not leaking air.
