Hi all,

My battery needed replacing, and when I did, the SRS light stayed on and has been on ever since. It's been a month.

Any ideas? Or do I have to go to the dealer to get it reset?

yes u do same problem here, they will wannna charge you 79 dollars to inspect and than another 50 to reset, those are the local prices here

A bent paper clip works just fine. I have done it twice now. It goes off everytime my friend brings his weird Nokia Cell phone in my car and plugs it in my charger and leaves it on the passenger seat. Dont ask me why, but I can make it go on just as easily as I can turn it off....Anyhow, GOOD LUCK, but I do recommend getting it checked by a dealer first. You would hate to really have a SERIOUS problem with your SRS.

The connector is right above your trunk release on the left side up behind the dash...get a flashlight. Pics are below.

Here is the procedure

1. Turn off ignition

2. Connect the SCS service connector to the 2pin wire you take out of the drivers fuse box and is now hanging from a thicker harness.

3. Turn on ignition

4. SRS light comes on for 6 sec and then goes off. Before it has been off 4 sec, Remove the SCS connector.

5.SRS light turns on again. Reconnect the SCS service connector within 4 sec of light coming on

6. Light goes off, remove connector within 4 sec after light went off.

7. SRS light blinks 2 times telling you the memory is erased.

8. Turn ignition off.
