squeaky suspension
Alrite, so I just installed my lowering springs, the tein s tech on oem shocks, the other week and lately the front driverside has been a bit squeaky and idk why. Everything is bolted on tight and nothing is rubbing. I have noticed that the other springs will squeak but not as much. I was just wondering if you guys think it could be a blown shock or ball joint or do the springs just need to be broken in?
Thanks
Thanks

I believe they just need to break in, My Tein Basics made like a crunching noise when i first put them on, i just think its the stiff steal wearing in a lil. If the squeaking leads to a difference in ride then I would worry, until then id say try to grease your shock to relieve the friction from the piston, might take some of the squeak there. WD-40 seemed to be a easy, fast but short term fix for mine, but iv had the basics on my car for about 10k miles and they no longer make a noise at all.

They need to settle for sure. If they keep squeaking you can put bump stops on them, it could be your bushings creaking too

Try this:

Go to Home Depot and buy a tube of Silicone grease (NOT the Marine or Metallic ones). I've found that it's cheaper and the pointed nose of the tube let you apply the grease without getting your arms covered in it.
