Springs Question
Hey whats up peoples!!!!!!!!!!
I heard from my friend that if you lower your car it messes up the gas mileage and the computer ecu in your car is this true? Also how bad is the bounce on the springs with you drive around.

Umm i think your friend is wrong...i have heard something similiar to this like when you put bigger tires on a jeep cherokee it will mess with the gas mileage...but lowering a car shouldn't change the gas mileage...it actualy might help improve it due to the car being lower and the wind resistance on the car being less...therefore the car would be able to not waste as much gas...

Ahhhhh . . .
He must be refering to fucking with the speedo with larger diameter tires.
Lowering your car will not impact the ecu. Putting larger diameter wheel/tires (while keeping the same size sidewall) will screw with your speedo and gas mileage.

Your friend should just shoot himself for thinking that.
But seriously, no it dosen't affect you gas milage or ECU. Only putting bigger tires and wheels may affect your speedo calibration. Also, if the wheels are a lot heavier, it could alter your gas milage slightly but not significantly. Lowering the car will only affect the camber and that's only if you lower it more than 1.5".

eibach sportline's (1.7") with ingalls camber up front (dont need em in back) and kyb agx's.......but people will warn you that agx's are rated for springs that only lower up to 1.5......but others say, and its true, that the agx's wont fail if you go 1.7"..... this is a setup youll notice signifigantly and makes the front wheel just flush and tucks the back tires (if you have a system) about an inch
for a less extreme drop do eibach prokits (1.4" drop i believe) and same, kyb agx's...no need for camber....this decreases wheel gap, but some argue its not low enough for people to notice....some like it though..... its all up to you!
but in my opinion these 2 are the best setups (and most popular). you could also do neuspeed's (also 1.7") or intrax....but neuspeeds are a lil' bouncy...and intrax just plain suck......good luck!....
ps.....you dont have to do agx shocks (theyre nice cause theyre adjustable for ride stiffness etc....you could to their cheaper version called the gt2 or you could go with koni shocks....theres 2 types of those.....the blue's and yellows....i believe (others correct me if im wrong) but the blue's are cheaper and nonadjustable and the yellows are pretty expensive but really good and adjustable......again, good luck......and anyone correct anything if i got it wrong
