Spare Tires

Anyone have a spare tire that is not the teeny-tiny donut? Can anything else decent fit in the compartment?

I do a lot of roadtrip (260mi one way). Last time I had a blow-out, I had to drive 100 miles + to get to my destination and before I could replace the tire. It was a sketchy drive, especially on I-81 and you HAVE to do at least 70 mph. You can't go over 50 mph in those things, and what US roads now a days does anyone drive 50 mph or below? I have a 90 Integ, would those wheels fit on the CL since they are both 4-bolts?

i think you can get a stock size tire to fit.

and now a teg wheel won't fit. It's a different lug pattern.

tegs are 100x4 so they won't match up. That's a good idea to put a full size in there, but weighs alot more than the spare. Check on eBay for either an accord rim or CL rim, i see them go for under $60 and all you need is a shitty tire, cuz its a spare.

stock wont fit. It raises the trunk matting up off the floor about 2 inches and makes it really uneven and ugly.

Bringing this back from the dead... But If I put a full size spare in there (16" acura rim and michellin) and just lay it on the carpet is that fine? I never use my truck EVER. Maybe for like 1 or 2 bags tops. Also how much more does a full size tire weigh then a spare tire? Would it cause more stress on the shocks?

Whose got a full size? give me some input y0

Just take out the spare and get some fix-a-flat air in a bottle and tire repair kit. The you can cut out the spare tire area, welt a flat metal piece in it's place and put a G35 c exhaust right under it. Or make it a spare gas tank.

lol you can't use fix a flat on low profile tires. It says it right on the front of the can.

im sorry, but that has to be one of the dumbest things i had ever heard . if you want the "sound" of a g35/350 then go ahead and buy yourself a g35/350.
