Question Soon to Be Upgrades.. Any Input?

Well.. I bought my car last August the day before I had to go back to school down south.. I haven't added anything to it yet.. I bought it with a complete system in it and 96,000 miles for only 1,500.. Good deal for a 98 CL 3.0? or not? a few cosmetic problems but nothing serious.. I just bought a CAI from Fujita and also ordered my AEM dry Flow filter? What do you guys think about that intake setup? The idiot that had the car before dropped the car on heated springs.. dummy! I'm upgrading my suspension to KYB AGX and Nuespeed Lowering springs.. I saw gold line lowering springs on ebay but, I wasn't sure if I should invest in that.. It was a bit to cheap.. I have a Pioneer AVIC-d2 that I am installing also.. with a ps2 to play movies.. I also did a lot of research about the headers throughout this sight.. funny thing is.. the day I was gonna order Megan headers I read about 3 storeis and said hell no! I saw ssautochrome, DC sports, and OBX headers as recommened brands.. I know DC is probably the best but, I am kind of on a buget and want something realiable.. what do you suggest?.. I want to put some power under the hood but, this car isn't gonna be the one that will give me that edge on the street.. I'm mainly looking to make it look good for now.. I also wanted to add m3 mirrors on my car.. I saw them on a car but I know that you have to get it for a honda model accord.. but I don't know what year.. can someone let me know the year.. I read the DIY but didn't see a listing of the model year.. I'm about to go install my CAI right now.. I'll let you guys know how I did.. Thanks for reading.. Peace

XS (ssautochrome) headers are what you want. Just have to replace the bolts that come with them with something that can withstand heat.

yeah us poor F22 and F23 boys are definately more bolt-on friendly than you 3.0 guys, and we are by no means 'bolt-on friendly', id say in order of it goes F22>F23>J30

anyways, good call on the AEM dryflow, good stuff, itll serve you well

dunno about the headers, since my header was a direct bolt in off an Accord, thing with the YA22s is that its a 98+ J30 on basically a 94-97 body

your mirrors will come off a 94-97 Accord, I dont think the level matters but for the record its EX Coupe

and a CAI install is beyond me, I took the easy way out with an SRI

Get the SSAuto Headers the XS or ceramic is up to how much u wanna spend. The m3 mirrors should be for 94-97 accord, you will have to make your own screw holes but we have a diy guide in the diy/faq section

For exhaust, it's all preference on what look and sound you want, most people on here go magnaflow for mufflers cuz they look close to stock and sound pretty good, I however don't have one

That's like almost free.. I gotta get those asap.. well after I take care of my suspension.. Had to get aftermarket upper control arms.. my left one is busted .. the dealer wanted 198.00 for each one.. plus tax and I had to wait about 3 days.. Found them on ebay for 85.00 including shipping.. with a warrenty.. should be here by Friday.. and the KYB AGX's I search to see if anyone is selling theres on here and I missed them by a few months..

If you hate the ricey tone, seriously look into getting a Magnaflow, and if thats still too loud, get a 22" resonator. Please dont get a muffler with a silencer, I've seen a couple and they look like shit. Magnaflow has a really deep sound and doesnt sound like a shit can at all.

Probably the best $1500 you'll ever spend . You should have plenty of life left in that car, without alot of problems. What the heck can you buy for $1500 that even runs these days? Good buy!

If anyone has said this already, sorry...

Stay way away from the gold line springs. Don't skimp out on the suspension of your car bro. You will regret it later.
