Someone Edukate me on RESONATORS

what does it really do?? im thinkin about getting a MAGNAFLOW STAINLESS MUFFLER RESONATOR and a magnaflow exhause dual tip to finish off my exhause i have headers also thinkin bout putting it all in at once... what does the resonator do? better flow? better sound i heard... but is it really needed... getting it for about $50 any advice would be helpful

resonator kills some of the sound... My opinion - get it - The no resonator sound is ok at first, but after a while it just gets loud.

our motors already has a cat and a resonator right?(3.0) would there be anyneed of this magnaflow? or would it just be one of thoses "just cause" upgrades?

Just cause .. because our systems already have it but I took mine out when I re did my piping and the damn things is loud as hell, everytime I see a cop I have to put in my clutch so its not so loud. Once I change my pipes again I am putting the resonator back on.
