some moron sent me the wrong intake!!!
I bought an AEM Short Ram for my 2.2 on Ebay, but the moron sent me the 22-407 intake instead of the 22-408!!
22-407 = for 90-93 Accord, not the 94-97 Accord like it should be. Do you guys think it will still fit my car??

Yeah I'll send it back, I'm just hella pi$$ed. I got a smog check due by the 16th and I need that intake to pass, looks like I'll have to wait 2 hrs at the fsckin DMV to get an extension.

And I don't think it'll fit since your's is OBDII and the 4th generation Accord is Non-OBD (92, 93 is OBDI). I'm just thinking about how the 5th and 6th gen. Civic differ, so I could be wrong.

Yeah it looks like it won't fit because it curves to the left at the end of the pipe. Maybe I could jam it in there or something, but like that other dude said, I should get what I paid for.
If he doesn't give me a return then I'll call my CC company, get a chargeback, and then try to jam it in there

not real sure what a car being obd1 or 2 has anything to do with an intake, my finest example would be my dads yard truck, a 88 ranger w/ a mustang 2.3l in it, w/ a intake from a 95civic, worked like a charm....and 5th and 6th gen civics differ very very little, before i turboed my old civic i had a full cai from a 00 civic, worked perfect no modifications or anything, whether or not the intake fits mostly has to do with the shape/design of the car, the motor, etc etc, nothing to do w/ the obd's

The D16Z6 from the 5th gen Civic is basicaly the same engine as the D16Y8, but the Y8 is OBDII (and has a better flowing head). The Y8 also has an extra tube that attaches to the intake. An intake will fit both cars, but there's the issue with an extra tube on the 6th gen. Then agian, it could just be a Civic thing and not at all OBD related. BUT, like I said before, a difference in OBD = Different engine.
The difference between OBD1(On-Board Diagnostics) and OBD2 is that OBD2 cars are equiped with a second Oxygen sensor located in the catalyc convertor. The reason why OBD1 cars/engine are so popular, is because it allows for you to straight pipe your car without having the check engine light come on, and without it effecting your ecu.
