it's to decrease the drag coming off the back of the car, what does it have to do with the drive wheels?

i'm gonna do it anyways, i'm just sayin.

the vortex generator was r&d to decrease drag on huge wings because it was a hot spot.

um, no offence, but did you read that? I only ask because it doesn't even mention the 'huge spoiler' until very end in the summary "From this, we could predict that VGs cause the pressure of the vehicle’s entire rear surface to increase therefore decreasing drag, also the velocity around the rear spoiler to increase, and the lift to decrease."

that whole thing is about reducing the drag on sedan shaped cars because of the lift seperation the occurs due to it's shape. as opposde to a wagon or hatchback shape.

it was an awesome read though, i've already ordered them.

the shape of the car has nothing to do with anything front or rear

yeah i read it about 4-5 years ago, when they're talking about decreasing drag and increase veolcity, they're talking about the humongous wing that was creating drag and using VG to work with the wing to create more velocity like shown in diagrams on page 5.

fair enough, but it's taken from aircraft tech, they use them on the wings for the same purpose.

so it should still do something. it's semi functional at least, lol
