Small Air Bubbles in Oil-3.0 V6
I just checked my oil and noticed a number of tiny air bubbles floating around on the dipstick. I have never seen this before, but know that if the crankcase if overfilled it can cause foaming and hence you will see bubbles in the oil. My oil level is about a half inch above the full mark. I live on a hill though, so even the "flat" part of my driveway is slightly angled. I moved the car up to the street where it is more flat and the level is still registering above the full mark (about the same distance above as the length between the low and high mark holes).
My oil was changed by my mechanic, whom has been very trustworthy for years, around 600 miles ago. Where does the level on the dipstick register for everyone else? One other note: when the oil was changed I added two ounces of LC20, an oil conditioner which emulsifies carbon buildup and increases lubricity. I had used that before on my old civic though and never noticed bubbles in my oil. Any thoughts? Thanks guys.

If your oil is overfilled that is not a good thing, your 3.0 should have 4.5 quarts, no more, no less. Adding the LC20 could help cause it to be high but only 2 ounces wouldn't do that. I would call your mechanic and ask him how much oil he put in, perhaps he used a whole 5 quart jug

It may be blow back.
It means your compression rings are fried and your built up psi within your piston housing escapes into your oil. Get a compression test done. Fairly cheap $100 GL

It has the oem breather box. The car hadn't been driven all day when I first checked and saw the bubbles. After a short drive where it warmed up some, the bubbles where still there but a little more sporadic. I'm not talking about a large number of bubbles to begin with though--maybe 10 at the most.
