Show me your door mounted midbass

For a friends 98 3.0 CL w/bose... I'm looking to do a solid set of 6.5-8" dedicated midbass in doors. Don't care about cutting metal, will be building a mdf baffle. Don't want to get into window problems, or modding the door panel. Anybody got any inspiring/educational comments/photos out there?

I made a 3/4" mdf baffle for my dynaudio mids. Depending on how big the mids are, you might have to cut the grill alittle at certain spots so the door panel could fit back on without pushin out the grill.

Not me, I had big ass magnets, but just dremel'd out the back of the grommet, and they sat just perfect. Here's what I cut out, just the very outer rim.

Here's them sittin flush Got the 1" silk tweeters to fit too

Thanks for the input guys. Definately going to be using 1/2" mdf baffles mounted to inner door skin. What dyn's did you use 99CL? Or better yet do you happen to know how much mounting depth I'd be working with, and how feasible would an 8" driver be?

The Dyns I used are the mw160 i believe. which ever one are the 7" mids they have. I had to cut the basket as well to have it clear.

Cool, going to go with the Seas Excel W18CNX-001's off a 300/2... Seas lotus 4's in the floor, and Seas 27AFNC/G's in the pillars off a 300/4. Pair of 10w7's off of a 1000/1, which are already in and pounding the car to shreds. ($800 in dampers/barrier /& gasket foam on the way in addition to the Dynamat Extreme that's already in). Rest of the system:
Alpine iva-d310
Alpine h701
Alpine KCA-420i
=) should be noice.

I heard Seas are very nice stuff. Never had a chance to listen to them though. You have some nice stuff going in. Hope everything works out.
