Should I use the headlight bulbs w/higher watts?
I had the 9006 bright white bulbs w/80-100 watts installed and took it off because the dealer told me that the max watts I was supposed to use is 50-60 watts for the 99 cl headlights...plus a friend told me that the higher watts light bulbs might burn out the wires. Did anyone use the higher watt bulbs and didn't have any probs with them?

Ok wait, first off .....you had somebody install your headlights for you? wtf...
secondly, yes it will burn the harness, it might last for 6 months it might las for 1. I went through 3 harnesses and even the "high temp" crap ass ones. The plastic on the clip is not meant for the higher wattage becasue it pulls more power and heats up hotter so the plastic is first to melt.....Get silverstars...best headlight out there next to HID.

and hey gumbo
thats why i thought you had somebody install em. If you did it yourself then a job well done?

Its a gamble using higher watts. I just blew my DRL module because of using the Nokya bulbs. It aint cheap ($150cd part). I had the head acura mechanic look at it and when he replaced the DRL module and the bulbs were still in the DRL module was cooking hot! I took my bulbs out cause of this.

You could alway use a relay. Cut the hot wire from the headlights and wire it up directly to the battery through a relay.
