shaving/rebalancing
I was wondering if anyone had heard of shaving/rebalancing a stock flywheel to make it lighter and beter. Has anyone heard of this, I am replacing my clutch and flywheel and I want to know if I should do this.

taking into account that i'm a big wuss, i would not do this.
assuming you're talking about re-balancing after the shaving, here's a few things to consider-
will your new lighter shaved flywheel be able to withstand the torque of your starter
will the shaved wheel be able to support the ring gear that's pressed on - if the wheel doesn't have enough mass it could very well buckle under that load
how much weight do you really think you're gonna take off by doing this?
it's good in theory but practically i don't see it as a feasible thing to do

Youll never be able to remove enough material from a stock fly to get it to the weight of an aluminum one.
The gains with machining a stock one wont even come close to the aluminum ones.
Buy an aluminum one.

he did, lets see if I can get ahold of him somehow. Thanks for the opinions, but I am trying to stay away from buying a new aluminum one because of the prices. Maybe if I save up enoguh I will be able to, but right now, that clutch is just sitting in my garage,

lol, the s2000 was a graduation present. And I have the money but I always put most of my money into savings for college. Where are you seeing them shipped for 260? I would buy that
