Service intervals
I'm going to change the oil every 3,000 miles. How about the other periodic maintainance? When should I be doing all the other stuff (i.e. changing air filter, timing belt)?

Which engine do you have? That makes a difference as far as the timing belt, spark plugs, distritutor cap, and ignition wires.
Auto tranny fluid should be changed at least every 30,000 miles.
Air filter should be about every 15,000 miles; but I would recommend getting a cold air intake (CAI).

Look in your owner's manual.
Acura generally recommends changing oil at 7500 miles. The whole change-your-oil-every-3000-miles is an old school myth from the oil companies and OEMs.
