^but also your buying an hid kit which will cost more than $50, and your ruining the ballasts cuz you only have them on for 20 seconds sometimes in which the lights are still warming up. Also the whole heat issue associated with HIDs and the small space they are going into.
i agree tho it would be cool, but i think just buying some bright leds would be more suited to the application, and i'm sure you could still figure out how to wire up a switch so you could turn the reverse lights on whenever you want tho

I know it's been done, but like mitch said it's a waste of money and you'll ruin the ballasts, klepto did a write up a few years ago about putting LED's in the reverse lights, something I still plan to do at some point, they're some of the only stock bulbs left on my car

There are a lot of choices, which one would you recommend?

When I was done with the retrofitting I was going to work on LED taillights but since I'm getting rockblocker and our taillight lens arn't transperent, there's really no point..

BTW, 3496 bulbs work with the brake lights AND taillight signals. They are noticeably brighter than the 2057 they recommend. LED bulbs aren't worth it unless their for corners or interior IMO. They just can't be as bright as normal bulbs with the little space we have for them.
