Resetting the stored memory in the TCM possible?

I know the transmission computer stores informations for "normal acceleration," but I don't know if it gets this information by how you drive, or if it was programed at the factory. I recently disconnected the battery for a while to see if it would reset the stored info. Then I drove like a crazy person to see if it would store new information. It might be in my head, but now it downshifts faster, holds gears longer and my favorite, it holds gears after downshifting. After downshifting from 4th to 3th, it'll hold it in 3rd even if I let off the gas. Then I can accelerate again without it upshifting and downshifting again. And it stays in 2nd longer now. Anyone know if the TCM's info is erasable?
