Removing Side Moldings
I was thinking about takeing off the side modings on my car.
but i want to know what is under them
do we have any holes or is it just double sided tape?

i think theres holes AND its unpainted...so that would be a prob.....i should of freakin done it when i just got my car re-painted...but i didnt think about it in time....

there are between 4-6 rectangular holes, but im pretty sure that the underneath is painted. also, that space is indented so you will need to have that filled otherwise you will have a whole going across your door instead of molding. so unless you want to have that indention on your door you will need to have a body shop fill and paint the thing.

it actually dosnt look bad with that indention in the door...theres picts floatin around the boards of a lime green cl on bags with huge chrome wheels...hes got the moldings removed and it looks good...

The moldings are held on by plastic grommets, it is painted underneath , the green car had it filled in with bondo and sanded and painted because there is an indention.
