LOL to bebop...

That actually looks like a good product. I'd get one if I had the 3.0. Not really worried about the 2.3.

hmm... seems like a good idea. Isn't the filter what ultimately fucks the trannies anyways? Doesn't it get clogged and restrict coolant flow causing the tranny to heat up WAY too much which "melts" the gears?

if that's right then this thing would be perfect.

^^ thats right ghost_mastercl^^, man.......hard to believe i was a noob like a month ago and couldnt install my aem cai........now i got good ideas........thats right whos the noob now, lol jk. But yeah i think alot of people should invest in this and a tranny cooler. Our "internal filter" is what kills our trannies, we need something else to filter out crap so that we dont have to rely on our "filter" that doesnt do crap. Now that i know someone agrees with me on this product im going to get one and a b&m cooler too and while installing i may as well flush it even though i just got it serviced. thanks guys.

3rd party warantee will cover tranny..

just make sure u dont file the claim untill like a month or so after u buy

the warantee, they think its shady.

also, 3rd party warantees are cool.. i just got one from CNA..

dammit, someone who knows more about this needs to chime in.

what's a 3rd party warranty? how would I get one? do you get it when you buy the car at a dealership, or do you set it up yourself?

if you are all worried about a bad tranny filter causing excessive heat in the tranny, why not just get a super monster size tranny cooler and be done with it. now if you want to get a tranny filter so that the coolant lasts longer and cleans better, get the filter!

The internal filter is not servicable. It is a screen, not a filter. As for an exsternal cooler/filter, Acura doesn't recomend it, but it really couldn't hurt unless you fuck up on the install and let dirt or debris get into the hoses.
