welcome to the forums!!
wow 6k for a 97 2.2 seems kinda high. I got my 99 2.3 for 3.5k recently, granted its not perfect but even if it was, i don't see it running more then 5k!

wow...thats a real good deal. feel like i got ripped off now. is yours manual? I saw the same model and year with the same transmission that only had like 30,000 miles for only $3,500 but that was all the way in california and i wasnt going to take a trip down there so this was the best deal i found. It only had one owner and you can tell that person took cre of the car. Everything works well and i just recently got it checked out at meineke and they told me everything is good except for the back brake calipers and the tire rods. so thats going to be another 500-600 out of my pocket. The only concern that i have is that it shifts a little bit slow because i have to rev my engine till it hits 3000 rpm on 2nd gear in order to make a smooth shift.

you officially got owned with that price lol. Its a good car to have though. I paid 6k for a 99 2.3 5spd in august of '06, but it already had rims, a lip kit, tints, a drop, and an alarm system w/remote start and a brand new clutch. So yeah, i think u shoulda done either better negotiating or better shopping, but welcome to the community nonetheless! The first car i ever owned was a titanium metallic CL 2.3 5sp and i liked it so much when it got totaled i got the black 1 i have now. Anyway, be prepared to spend lots of time and money on ur car modifying it cuz us guys on here will pretty much make u want to lol.

yea mine didnt come with all that good stuff but i had a brand new clutch and that was all about it. on the passenger side rear door, there were couple of dinks and scratches but nothing too major. Im gettting new calipers and tire rods tomarrow so im going to have to delay on the modding for a few more weeks till i save enough moolah. Im considering on getting my windows tinted 20% then get an intake with headers maybe exhaust and thats probably all im going to do. I have a sound system from my old ride that im going to swap. have customized bandpass box with two 12" rockfords and an infinite amp. I want to get some shoes on it but i dont feel like lowering my car the fact that i have to pull into my driveway and want a smoother ride. any suggestions? im very new to this and would like to know all the possiblities of modding and also would like to hear some pros and cons.
