Hi Guys,
I wanted to install the rear lower sturt bar, but when I looked at the whole set up didn't know what bolts should I loosen and do I need to jack the car up on the rear and what not.....
Please
can some one walk me through on how I can do this???
Basically I had my car up on a ramp and was trying to instal this. But when I looked at the bolts where it has to fit I could have loosend this bolt but the arm would have fell off and then it would have been really tough to get it back in
...any advise???
Appreciate the help.
Thankx
JFK

i haven't installed g1 lower bars but i have on my legend, its similar, they all have connect to the control arms, when u pull that bolt out it shouldn't fall out, if anything the bushing you be holding it in place.
you also should really do it when the wheels in the air too.
hopefully someone who has installed a g1 set will chime in, my advice is just general.

You talking about a rear sway bar? Or a tie bar?
Sway bar looks like this.
Tie bar I don't have pics of installed

/\ okay, looking at that.
it might fall down, here's how to do it,
lift the car into the air (rear end) the whole thing. so that the control arms hang down. then place a jack supporting the control arms. unbolt the arm, it might move but get it back into place, and install the tie bar.

Def put jack stands to hold the control arms. I haven't done mine yet, but that's what I had to do for my sways. And that's how I plan to do my tie bar, I haven't done it yet, but it's only 2 bolts, should be ok. But def jack the rear up, and brace the control arms

No one currently offers a set of LCA's for our chassis YA or CD as mentioned. Would be nice to have a set of these in our application. Function 7
However, I think this company would develop a set if there was enough interest..? The rep for the company seems to be familiar with the chassis. Below are a couple of his posts on H-T.

So that is the whole point with our new products. But unfortunately it took me over 2 years just to finish the small list of applicatoins we have now. Unlike other companies that pop up and have an instant 50 application list. I had to develop everything and basically start over, and like I said I have been doing this for over 3 years, and just now finally released what we have been working on. I have thought about making a LCA of our own during that time as well. We do not even offer lower control arms anymore because we no longer deal with the overseas manufacturers that offer them and make them for a lot of companies. If were going to make them, it's going to be our design. I won't even offer LCA's anymore, even though I know many companies that are willing to make them for me, and slap our name on it. But ofcourse those would simply be those cast LCA's which everyone offers, and some even offer those generic LCA's with Spherical bushings. If I did that, that may catagorize my company in a way I don't want my company to be catagorized in. Right now one of the only LCA's we recommend are the Function 7 LCA. I respect there design and quality very much. The skunk2 is another favorite which we recommend. So when our customers do ask what LCA we recommend, we usually recommend the Function LCA because we feel that is one of the only LCA's in this market that would compliment our quality and what we look for in a product. That is another reason why we have not really been in a hurry to venture in producing our own LCA. Also skunk2 is another good design and they have the ability to machine them in house. My apologies for blabbing, but it was just funny cause I was thinking about the same thing. I'd love to offer a LCA of our own to compliment our setup and what we have to offer, but those are my reasons why we have not introduced our own LCA. It will happen!! Because I want to be able to offer the whole package to my customers, but till we design our own, I will only refer or recommend what I feel is the best. The Function 7 LCA is not perfect, but it's pretty damn close. When we come out with our own I will address the issues I feel needs improving from what I have gathered with my experience with aftermarket LCA's. Like you said, your going to keep in contact. So please do, because you may have sparked something. Maybe this will have to come out of the backburner. Thank you for your post.

I'd love to take a look at the stock piece a lil more closely and take the measurements I need. I have not been too active in the accord forums lately, but if you know someone that has a set of spare rear LCA's, let me know.
