I was leaving work yesterday and saw a note on my windshield. First thought was o no someone hit me, second thought was could be a stalker

Someone did scrape my rear bumper, and there is no structural damage to the bumper just some of their paint on the bumper and some of my paint off the bumper. There are 2 spots, one is about 1.5 inches long and not even 1 cm high. The second is a little smaller than the first spot.

I plan on calling him during lunch, luckily this guy left a note. I have accidentily hit someone before like this, and the lady called my insurance for something that cost $300. The damage IMO is pretty much the same, so I am thinking it may cost the same to repair mine.

Question is what should I ask for the guy? I'd love to get this settled today if he wants to, but maybe he wants me to get a couple estimates? In the end though I don't want to screw him over and ask for $300 because I have other dents/bumps/scratches on my car that outshadow these marks. I will probably not even repair it, but use the money to finally buy a new muffler.

Anyone have any idea of what it would actually cost to repair something like this?

If the bumper needs to just be repainted, i know the dealership might have a deal with their shop to do it for about 150 - thats what the deal was at pohanka lexus when i baught the car.

Yeah I just went to see the detail guy we have at our office building. He said if I got the touch up paint he would buff it out for $30, so I'm just gonna see how much the paint is and then get the $.
