I am almost positive it will fit. I was researching this before and I am pretty sure it came up with the same part numbers.

Check car-part.com for a replacement rack. If a 97 Accord LX comes up as a donor, you know it will work. They have a cross-reference system that accesses all donor models. Very helpful at times.

good luck

See I checked on www.rockauto.com and personally called Pepboys and also checked a national salvage yards website www.car-parts.com and all of them said the same but the guy from whom I am buying is www.rackdoctor.com...mind you a very nice guy and his shit is the cheapest that you could find any where...but the thing is on his web site the rack for the 98 2.3cl is listed at a different price then the rack for a 97 accord...and when I spoke to him he said that they are different...now he is willing to ship what I want but he says they are different .....I told him to check with A1Cardone tech specialist and he said that he will and get back to me on Monday.....I spoke to the a1cardone tech specialist and even said that they are same ...I don't understand why this guy says that they are different.....Well I can just take the risk and tell him to ship me the accord rack but then I will not know if it will fit and if I break everything down and find out after dis assembly that it does not fit then I will be screwed...........I am thinking that this guy in fact he is the owner of rackdoctor.com must not have the racks in stock and will be getting one and re manufacturing on order basis and sending it to me that's why he cannot pull both the rack from his stock and compare......he is a very reliable guy and sounds to be very knowledgeable when I spoke to him................

.........I am thinking fuck it I will buy the accord one and then will figure out what to do if it does not fit...will wait till he gets back on Monday...

Thank x for your feedback guys.........

Why not buy a used rack for your vehicle? They are only $50 or so. I've always had good luck w/ used parts and prefer them to rebuilt. Bad rebuilts are far too frequent.

I note that car-part.com does not indicate that Accords are donors!

Use car-part to find a rack near you and go by and inspect carefully before purchase.

good luck
