R spec vtec controller?

Has anyone ever used one of these or heard anything about it? I found a couple for a decent price and I dont know if they are as good as the apex v-afc or not. In the description it says you can lower the v-tec engagement point with it, but does it do anything else? thanks

With something like engine management, it is worth the extra money for the apexi, to know it is reliable.
