Hey Everyone, i know this has been talked about before but i just want a real quick overview and then i'll erase the post..(sorry..i tried searching but it got me no where)

Soo...im going to paint my engine and interior plastics this weekend...The engine plastics i think i will use the VHT break rotor paint cuz it can last at high temps...good or bad??

Also, what grit sandpaper did u use? wet? and how many times did u sand? what was the list in which u did the sanding and painting?? primer? how long to dry??

i would take you car down to a local paint shop and show them what you are going to paint and they will tell yo uwhat you need exactly i did. i used a high heat plastic paint not the caliper paint, it would look right i tried, but a high heat plastic paint and then you need a degreaser and a clear coat as well click me sig for pics of mine if not there you can pm me and ill send you what mine looks like. i did a hot cherry red. it looks cool bit i need to redo it i have had it for about a yr now and the paint is barely chipping off but chipping. but i did 2 coats of red and then 2 coats of the clear

I was the first out of the TL and CL board to paint my engine plastics, at lesat that posted about it!

Take it to a paint shop and for $200 or so have all 9+ pieces paiinted correctly! It should be painted with ppaint mixed with heat and flex additives and then cleared!!! If you want to do it the quick chaep way you can use spray, but it will look half as good IMO!

i sanded mine used high temp paint like 4 coats then clearcoated looks great all for about ten bucks

I took min to a body shop like casper. I had my WW lip painted up along with my engine plastics and wiper arms all with acura milano red paint. Looks great! I don't know how much the job was worth though i got is for free Anyway, i just put in my aem cai today and am waiting for my sis to get back from england so i can take pics for everyone.
