Hello. I got my Acura CL a few weeks ago after I totalled my Volvo 960....and I LOVE IT!!! Heres my details:

1997 Acura 2.2 CL
Black w/ Black Interior
Stock with Some nice ass pioneer head unit in there and Xenon headlights.

So. Im very excited to be talking to people about the CL. I have some questions so if youd like to answer, feel free!

#1. Clear corners. Cool. But what about your turn signal? Will it still flash orange or what? Legal? Average price I should pay for a pair?

#2. System. Ive noticed my stock speakers arent too great but not too bad. What should I shove in the car?

#3. Tires. I want to put a new set of Toyo tires on. Good decision?

#4. It has a 145hp VTEC engine stock. What can I get the HP up to without shoving like $3000 into it?

#5. Mods. What the hell can I do to the car non-performance wise? I dont want a wing. Any lighting or sound I can do? Im big on luxury and unique stuff.

2. I have the bose system, and it doesn't seem that bad (unless you have some kind of different one)

3. Toyo Proxes are always good

4. There are a lot of things, basic bolt-ons:
-Intake (AEM v2)
-Exhaust (Greddy SP)
-Headers (OBX/Comptech)
etc

5. Well for more luxury...you might get a wood trim kit...A spoiler actually does increase the look at alot...I would get one!

For a clean look, you can debadge the trunk, leaving the "A" there, and removing the acura and 2.2CL from the corners....many people on the board have done that.

For super luxury, upgrade your headlights to an OEM BMW/Audi/Benz projector setup....we have many people on this board who are experienced with this setup.

 

If you like luxury get some big chrome rims, with a deep dish or lip. Like 18" or 19"

 

oh btw, 20% window tint makes ANY car look good (almost)

I'm brand new on this forum as well. I got my clear bumper lenses two years ago for $77.00!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm pissed that all these other people are getting them alot cheaper.

I also like my rims stock....but sound id like to do. Projector headlights too.

 

When you clear out your corner lens (About $45 shipped), you decide what color you want to show (using 168 bulbs). It is technically illegal since the law requires the corner lights to have a reflector (which the clear lens doesn't come with but stock ones do). One way you can get away with it is to use amber 168 bulbs so that when you have them on at night, it won't draw attention to cops. This is what I'm using...
