Ok here is the thing. My girl friend is looking for a newer car. There is a 2.3 cl for sale in my town. 40,000 miles for $13,000. The car seams really clean! Leather everything. very pretty red.
Is there any problems that i need to look out for with this car?

Manual should be fine. If it was an auto, I'd say something, but the manual seems to hold up pretty well. Also check the window motors, as its supposedly weak. Mine is doing pretty good so far. *knock on wood* Goodluck.

Let it sit in the sun for 30min and check the sun roof.

check the sunroof for sure, I have problems with mine. What year is it? I just bought my 99 3.0 for $15,000, (Booked for $18,000), and it had 35,000 miles on it. $13,000 sounds o.k.

No problems with mine. The windows are a little slow and many have had them go out, but other than that, its held up to a beating.

i have an issue with my sunroof ,,'99 2.3 one side somehow dented in and on the other side (across) it popped it out a little bit causing my paint to chip and rust start to appear,, by the way does anyone know where to get any touch-up paint on the net?????

HEY! I JUST noticed that today after finishing washing my car. I noticed a dent on the right side of the roof, in front of the sunroof. Haven't taken a good look at the left side yet. I'll do that in the morning. Hmm...what makes it do that, and any easy fix? It's not that noticeable though.. And oh yea, about the touch up paint; i found this website: www.paintscratch.com Try em out..they seem ok.

99 2.3 no problems with mine.

once in a blue moon at a red light i have to reclutch cause 1st doesnt want to go in the gate right away, but i had that problem with the prelude so i assume its a honda thing.

Im due for my 30K service soon and im having that checked, thank god im still under warranty.

anyway, its a great car enjoy.

I bought my '98 2.3CL Premium last year with 43k on the clock and have put another 13k in last 8 months... no real problems - I have the 5sp tranny and all the goodies. One thing though, if you really like music - replace the stock audio system, it just isn't of the same quality as rest of the car

i bought a 98 2.3manual for a parts car it had nearly 90k miles on it and it still ran good minus the front end and side damage

Good god....I'm already at 70,000 miles with my 99. In regards to the 5 speed, only complaint I've got is exactly what sarlacc23 said earlier. I have to reclutch the tranny because 1st doesn't go in at all. Other than that, have fun and go buy it!

Oh, and if you're planning on modding it all for her, the aftermarket stuff for her car are the same exact things for the 94-97 Accord EX....so happy modding

Glad to know i wasnt the only one with the 1st gear thing, not that big a deal though.
