question about speaker replacement without changing bose amp
Hi everybody alright i tried searching the form for this but with no luck so my question is i want to change out the front speakers in my car the door and maybe a lil later change the tweeters as well. I want to know one is it possible to hook up aftermarket speakers to the standard bose amp. and 2 is there a built in crossover for the tweeters or a seperate unit? and yes i know bose amp isnt very good but i dont really feel like payin another 100 bux or so for a decent amp to just power my speakers and no i dont want to change the 6*9s because they are mostly there for bass and since i have 2 12's in the trunk its pretty pointless for me to even think about changing them because most the time i cant hear them much anyway. Btw the new speakers are 4 ohm 50 watt rms and 100 max they sounded hella good in my old 91 accord hooked upto stock radio thats why im trying to use them again with a bose amp i think theyll sound even better cmpared to whatever i had in da 91 accord.

go to www.caraudio.com and go to forums and search up "bose" . You'll probably find something to answer your question.

Yes it's possible to hook up aftermarket speakers to the bose amp. I hooked up Infiniti Kappas components and it worked perfectly. The door speaker is a full range speaker and the tweeter has a inline filter. So I suggest buying component speakers that comes with a crossover.
