Problem: Oil temp gauge fluctuation
My oil temperature gauge fluctuates to High when I come to a stoplight or am sitting idle for a small time. Anyone else have this problem? I've got a 99 3.0. When I accelerate from the stoplight/idle, it goes back to normal. And I know that oil's viscoscity is not that thin to fluctuate in temperature, it would defeat the purpose. So maybe it's a faulty sensor? Thanks in advance,

You don't have a oil temp gauge. That's the coolant temp you are looking at. It's probably your thermostat. Also check to see if there might be air in the coolant lines.
