Prelude shifter....
Last night i got all greased up and installed a shifter from a 94 prelude si. I bought it from some guy off of preludepower.com for $30. I couldnt have done it without the diy from klepto. Thank u soo much man.
I made this thread for a few reasons,
1. to brag a little.
2. To warn people of things that are not on the diy.
Warning
Its really hard to do step #15. It took me 1 hour on just that step. if u do not have a demel i wouldnt recommend trying without it. I had to resort to bolt cutter. haha.
it looks a lot easier than it really is..
Also this step:
Pulling these tabs off with a flathead and a hammer. It required a lot of hammering. took me 1/2 an hour on just this, [IMG]http://home.comcast.net/~daklepto/shifter11.jpg[IMG]
i recommend having a buddy help u on this part too.
overall a moderately easy mod for me because ive taken apart my console before. If youve never done it, it can be overwhelming.
Again thanks klepto!!!!!

np, im just glad that I helped you out. I didnt even know that you had to cut off those tabs until I got everything bolted up and realized that I couldnt shift into 1,3 or 5 so i had to rip everything out again and dremel those mofos off
do you mind posting your two tips in the diy thread so other people can get that feedback? thanks
