Power Steering Question & Intercooler Install
I made a bit of progress on my turbo project this weekend by mounting the intercooler and running the charge pipes.
I had to drain the power steering fluid and remount the power steering cooler behind the intercooler. Now I have no power steering since I didn't have the chance to refill the reservoir. I have some Motomaster power steering fluid sitting around but it says its for domestic cars and the cap of my power steering reservoir says only use the Honda stuff. Does anyone know if it's all the same or if I need to go find some Honda power steering fluid?
Also, do I need to get rid of the air in the power steering lines somehow when I fill up the reservoir or will it work itself out of the system?
Here are some pictures:
The last pic was taken at about 7:30 this morning after a drunken all nighter to finish the job

Just fill the tank and start the car. Then turn the wheel a few times from full left to full right and then back. Shut her off and refill. You will need to do this a few times to get it perfect. I had to replace my PS cooling line recently when some hose hit my front bumper and tore it in half pushing the cooler into the rad support and puncturing it. Anyway, I found that filling it while its running makes it easier later on. that way its sucking up all fluid and not air with it.
Oh, And VERY NICE...

love seeing this -- looking good, blenz.
just did a fmic this week, and even starting with the luxury of (semi) custom piping, pitfalls still make it a bigger job than it appears to be at first when the car wasn't initially designed for it -- props.
decided on snail, etc. yet?
btw, i'd ony use the honda or honda equiv stuff -- put some valvo or something in mine once and (don't know if related, but) had wierd things happen later.

Thanks guys
I still have lots of stuff to do before it's boosted but getting the intercooler and piping done is a big step closer. Next will be the gauges and then the oil pan. After that I will attempt the fuel pump which is gonna be a huge bitch.
Does anyone know if the Honda PS fluid is a must use or if it's all the same shit?

I know the intercooler isn't exactly centered and that's cool with me. The cold side piping only reached so far and things don't always work out perfectly when you do custom work. It's not like I'm turboing the car so it can look pretty either, it's all about function.
