The inching forward is a very common problem with the '97s. There are a couple TSBs about it. A buddy of mine had it happen with his seat, took it to the dealer and they fixed it for him.

Here are some of the TSBs dealing with the power aspects of the seat. There are a couple more about the rear seat access lever not working properly.

I have a similar problem. At least I think it's a problem but maybe it's my ignorance. When you pull up the lever on the driver's seat should the seat power forward or stay where it's at? I was under the impression that it was supposed to move forward. It's harder to get my ho's in there when it doesn't move forward.

It is suppose to move forward...........if it doesn't then your seat is fucked up.........tell the ho's to get in on the other side.
