Possibly going to trade it in

I think the time has come to get rid of my Cl. I bought the car off Ebay Dec 2001 and have loved the cl ever since. But apparently the car has been involved in an accident before I bought it and it looks as if the paint job was done by earl scheib as time goes on i.e. paint is starting to delaminate on my door, underneath rear window trim, rust near sideskirts on both doors, front bumper slightly out of alignment, rear bumper now starting to chip and crack, not to mention a squeking noise every time I hit a bump coming from the misaligned bumper. Of course you really have to look to see the blemishes, but petty soon I will need an extensive amount of body work. Plus the whole tranny blowing is always forefront in my mind too, right now at 73,000. Thinking about getting a 99 CRV EX certified. I just love this car and hate to see it go, but it loks like I don't have much of a choice. Sorry for the Novel.

I'd do the same thing if I was in your shoes.

Good luck with the CRV search, my mom had the 1st gen CRV and now has the new one and loves it.
I've driven them both and they're a nice reliable mid-sized SUV.

The new CRV's are nice. That's probably the car I'll get after I graduate college. You can haul stuff, get good mileage, have 4wd, and of course the freakin picnic table.
