Exclamation Possible wheel bearing issue...

I hear an odd intermittent squeal that comes from the right rear. I've checked the break pads and the caliper... All is normal. There is no wobble in the wheel. I think the bearing will go soon. I'm scheduled for a 20th Anniversary 45 point inspection on Tuesday. Haha, Acura is 20 years old.

Anyone dealt with this issue lately?

try to tighten the hub nut alittle if the noise goes away thats your problem. replace the bearing.. also make sure your heat shield isnt hittin the rotor.

if the noise happens when you're turning then its most likely a bearing problem

Thanks guys. I got to looking a bit closer in the light. The wheel is covered in brake dust. I'm now thinking it is a draging caliper. If it were a bearing, there would be play... But the wheel is tight and right. But anyway, I'm gonna change the pads next week. I was gonna wait till next oil change to do belts and rear pads, but I don't think I should wait too much longer. I don't want to ruin the rotors.

remember you have to jack the whole wheel off the ground to make sure its not the bearing.. it wont wobble if its on the ground. also theres alot of these cars that have bad calipers.

Well, I went today and bought brand new OEM pads. $70 for Honda pads. I used to use ceramics on the Teg, but staying OEM with the CL for now. The noise was the squealer and it was doing exactly what it should do. So, changing the pads has solved the issue.

Thanks again for all your replies.
