99 2.3 CL Automatic with 89,001 Miles

Well, was headed to wash my car and next thing I know, my check engine light comes on, and right away my car starts to drive funny, When I slow down almost coming to a stop, the RPM's just drop and the car jerks bad, then on my way to accelerate, it skips a few times and when It gets to to the range were it changes gears, it slips and keeps revving up in RPM's and still in first. Then I decide right away to take it to the Acura dealership and see what's going on, and the guy tells me its either my tranny or a solenoid, but hes leaning to transmission, well I leave it in the shop for them to really find out what the deal is. All I know is my money is not in the right place to be spending $1500+ on a damn transmission for a car I don't plan to have a year from now, its my luck, plus Im paying $500 on a civic I don't even drive nor own a month (Court order), life sucks right now.

BTW: Yes I know a 5 speed manual is better and all that "5 Speed FTW" But I got a nice deal on this car and at the time I needed something. Well looks like I got the moldy part of the cheese.

Well update. I have a bad EVERYTHING, they took the transmission out of my car cause somebody smart put the wrong shit and at that to much of it in my transmission when i got it changed 2 months ago at a Texaco place, but when they drained it it looked like bad motor oil and smelt like burnt toast. So that alone was a bad sign, well took it to a transmission specialist and they ran the digs and came back my shit was done. Computer and all. So now I have to pay for what is someone elses wrong doing, life is just a bytch.

UPDATE #2 Well got a call today, its something to do with a hydrolic inside the transmission and the gear ratios being way off or some shit, I dunno, but the guy is willing to show me the problems upfront if I wish to see, so ima do that, but of course I loose my job the day before for some of the dumbest shyt, and now im short of what ima end up oweing, so now i need to come up with about $800, the only thing I can think of is selling my newly bought system. Man life just gets worse for a folk.

If I turn it in, I'll probably just buy a new bumper cover and do the work myself. If the dumb bitch's ins comes after me though, then they can go to my ins company, i'll be calling them later today to report. My truck doesn't have a lot of damage thankfully, just sux, had the truck for 2 months tomorrow and the bumpers already all jacked Course this comes a month after my buddy backed up into my CL's bumper and punched two holes in it with his exhaust pipes, cuz he couldn't see me through his amp rack sticking up into the back window So now I have 2 bumpers to replace, like i said when it rains it poors
