Ok listen to this B.S., i was just about to get my car droped, aem cold air itake,
and get it tinted black! On my way to get all this done my tranny goes out.
Now i know ya'll said its not a big deal with no mods, but the thing is i had no
mods, and i only had 86,000 miles!!!! I plan on doin heavy ass modin to this
car and i still have a warranty and will get this fixed but what the hell can
i do to the tranny or what can i do before i get it fixed by Acura so this shit
won't happen again??? Is there a certain new tranny i can get??? Aftermarket,
hell another acura's like the integera tranny??? I need some answers before
i take it in acura tommorrow!!!! Please ya'll i am sooooo pissseddd offff about
this B.S.!!!! To the point i want to trade this P.O.S. car!!!! I know i really don't mean
that but still HELLLPPPPP!!!!!!!!!

 

Sorry your tranny went out. There's no other tranny you can use on the 3.0 but the one made for the j30a engine and the only cars that have that engine are the 3.0 cl and the 98+ V6 accord. You could send your tranny to level ten to get it rebuilt and have them install a torque convertor but alot people say to stay away from them cause of problems other people have had with thier work.

 

really so now if i get a new tranny this problem will come up again when i get
extensive mods to it????? If so then i guess i'm gonna depart with my CL no
matter how much i don't wanna........

 

A new tranny should last you awhile if properly taken care of. Try getting a bigger tranny cooler that should help out quite a bit.
