Pics of some broken rims

This is what a small pothole did at 55 mph.

Can't always afford 3 piece rims. The worst part is that I had these rims for a week before this happened. I'm trying to get the place I got them from to do something (wheeloptions.com). Here's a pic of the pothole, not the worst thing ever.

Try and get your money back!

No warranty, but I'm going to talk to the guy today about it. What sucks is that they're on the west coast and I'm in Atlanta.

Damn, that looks like it was on West Peachtree, right between the Biltmore and 10th street. I just dodged that pothole last week! Freakin' potholes in Atlanta...roads suck even with Mayor Franklin's newly designated "Pothole patrol"...wtf is that all about? Oh well, sucks about the rims man, hopefully they'll give you an exchange or a refund

Yea Atlanta roads SUCK. There are SO many potholes everywhere, there's no way to dodge them all. They just leave holes in the ground everywhere. West Peachtree is by far the worst street in Atl. There's just very little pavement on that street.

Not to bust your balls, but that really dosent look like a street you wanna be doing 55 on anyway. Oh well, sorry about your rims... if all else fails, talk to the town/city or your insurance company.

It was night time and I was having fun with my new rims. That pothole though is in the middle of the road and other cars were going the same speed too. The guy at wheeloptions said that I can send them back and he would exchange them, which is cool, except I'll lose money on shipping. If that fails, I have the credit card company and then the city to play with.

It's good that you'll get them replaced!

About the shipping; it sucks that you'll loose $$ on the deal, but I guess that's the risk we take when buying through the mail.

true. damn aftermarket rims. :thumbsdn: Shipping should be less since I'll take the tires off and keep them. But, then again I have to have them remounted and balanced.

I actually have a claim form already, I might just file it anyway, see what happens. Although, I really doubt that they will do anything to help me. I'm not the only person to wreck their car on a pothole, there was a front page story in the AJC last week about potholes in this city. I'll try for fun, see what happens.

Hope your claim will be successful with your Dept of Transportation or whoever is responsible for the pothole. Had the samething happen to me, and VDOT bullshitted me for a few months, even sent me a letter attached to someone else's claim, then I just stopped hearing from them.

I never expected to get anything from them, but I'll try for fun. All I need to get is some estimates for repair and send it out. It would be great if it worked , but that would be very unexpecetd Hopefully, the only loss I take will be on the shipping charges.

belive it or not yblegal is right if you attempt to sue most likely your city will pay I know someone who had this happen and sued his town and before it went to court they settled and got him a new rim crazy when you think about it
