Dude, don't tint your front windshield in Pittsburgh. The state law is that you have to have 70% clarity, however, you shouldn't be bothered, if you stay around 35-50% on the sides. The back you can do all the way to 0. But the side windows is what the cops care about. Also, what color cl do you have, and where in pittsburgh are you from?

ya i prolly won't do windsheild, i am from uniontown actually, about 45 minutes south of pittsburgh, the only thing i am worried about is my blind spot, the two little windows on the back, i want to make sure i can see through those but i wanna make at least 5 percent on rear window and people are sayin to get all 3 back windows same tint, how about 10 percent for back 3 windows and 25 percent side? i have a black cl so i want to go dark as i can to match the paint, want it to look sick, espeically once i put the illuminas and eibachs on, i 'll get some pics on here after its all done

5% all around, thats what I have, and it looks soo nice, you get used to it and it doesnt really eliminate your blind spot or make it worse, but yeah watch out for the cops lol, you either have to have it removed or pay a $105 fine in PA

I suggest 20% all around. It is just dark enough to where you can't see the driver, but you can see an outline. Shouldn't be difficult to see at night, but still looks very dark from the outside.

20% sounds good. I have 20% rears and 35% sides, I guess i coulda gone a bit darker but I like it. I didnt want people to NOT completely be able to see me from the outside, but rather, see an outline. When I see cars with limo tint on their front windows I just think to myself, that person must be ass ugly, he doesnt want anyone to see him driving that car

One thing to remember is that with your car having a black inside is going to make it look darker than it is. I have all my cars dark, extremly dark. I am in the tint biz, and I have my front windsheild done on everyone of my cars and have no problems. I would go 20% all around or 20% on side and 5% on back if it was my car. If you did your windsheild i would not go any darker than 50%. I would recomend that you go reflective at that, if you black 50% it is going to look too dark. 50% mirror film has hardly any shine, but blocks glare and heat like crazy.

I have 5% back three windows and 35% down front side windows, nothing on the windshield...
I love it, but i wish I had gone with 20%... I guess I'll wait until I get my first fix it ticket and change it back to 20%

k i did some research on here and i guess u can take the screws out underneath the trunk, then do the tint to cover the whole window after the brake light is unattatched, i want to take it back there to do this, does anyone else have this done and do u encounter any problems with the police, alot of the photo gallery have it done this way, should i just get it done, or even turn the brake light off or will it shine thru the 5% fine? i really don't want to spend the extra money on a spoiler with brake light...the cutout looks so freakin gay, they didn't even ask me if i wanted it the other way, weak...

The 3rd brake light cutout for the rear window tint is WEAK.
You should demand that they re-tint that thing. That is so ghetto.... I can't believe you didn't ask them before though. You gotta be paranoid when you get your car tinted because so many little things can go wrong if you don't explicitly tell them what you want (how you want the dot matrix handled, the cut out, etc.)

do u think i would get pulled over if i had them redo it properly tho if i was driving at night, i just don't want to get pulled over for that, i'm in pennsylvania, anyone else in pa have a problem with this, i would really appreciate your input
regardles 5% in back 3 windows and 20% on sides looks so fuckin sick on a black car, at night your car looks solid black dude, it looks so fucking hard, and i can see just fine out thru the 5% at night...

I am not a lawyer, but I will tell you that I have never had a problem with having tint over my 3rd brake light. If 5% tint on your rear windshield is legal in your state (which it is NOT in PA btw) then you will have no problems with the brake light portion being tinted also.
Your bigger problem is that PA has some of the strictest tint laws in the US. 70% tint max on all windows is super strict compared to most states. Don't worry about the brake light if you are already breaking the law on the rest of the rear windshield.
A cop will either notice your obviously illegal limo tint or not. He isn't going to go "Hey that tint is SUPER ULTRA ILLEGALLY DARK! Oh wait, his brake light has a cut out... I'll give him a pass."

ya very ghetto, i'll end up payin for it watch, now i'm weary to have them put on my eibach pro-kit and illuminas in two weeks...i may just have them put on a another layer of 5% percent on top, it may make the brake light stand out more since the first layer is cut-out? what ya thinK...or am i talkin crazy...LOL!!!!!!!

Blackura that shit looks HAWT
Binny, u ever figure out what they're doing with your tint? My 3rd brake light isn't even hooked up to anything, because i have a wing. Do you have a factory wing, cuz if you did that'd be even more weak. Let me know what happened with your tint man
