Do a search about it. Most have used high-temp paint then some coats of clear over it. Seems like your pretty stoked about customizing your cl. Right on.

And, it's y'alls (for you all) not yall's, otherwise spoken like a true Texan!

i went to the paint store and told them what i am going to do and they gave me what i needed. no high heat paint but i used paint specifically for plastics and it worked great, for everything it ran me about 50 bucks and thats 2 cans of paint and 1 can of clear and i got ouch up paint in case it peels and then drop cloths and stuff to clean the pieces. cleaning is the most important part, you need to make sure its clean all the way and no grease on anywhere where you are going to paint. check out here for my pics of the painted engine. http://gigscompinc.8m.com/gallery.htm

hope this help. note: that the hardest part i havent done yet is the acura emblem and the lettering on the front. but if anyone knows the easiest way to do it post it up so we can all see how you did it.

Thanks Guys! Im on my way to the paint store. That grill looks great. Engine to. Good job. You may want to try a little Simple Green on the engine bay. It does wonders!

Be sure to get the paint that has an additive for flexibility. Thats what you'll need to paint the plastics.

For the lettering, you can probably try painting over it and then scraping it with a razor. Also, try putting masking tape over them and then tracing the edges with a razor, should work pretty good.
